Richard M. Amodei, STV sr. VP, was named the head of the firm's Transportation & Infrastructure Division's Northeast region, which includes offices in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Canada.

Amodei joined the firm in 1999 and has been instrumental in growing STV's role in the public transportation markets as director of business development for North America. The Northeast region provides multidisciplinary services including planning, civil/bridge design, rail system design, resident engineering, and inspection and construction/project management for an array of public and private clients.

The region is responsible for many of the firm's largest and most complex assignments, such as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Longfellow Bridge rehabilitation and the new Fore River Bridge, in Boston; Amtrak's Hudson Yards Gateway project and the Long Island Rail Road's East Side Access in New York City.

With more than 25 years of professional experience, Amodei has been responsible for the pursuit and performance of several major projects including the Delaware River Port Authority's $1.5 billion Glassboro-to-Camden light rail line and Riverside County Transportation Commission's $248 million Perris Valley Line.

Amodei is also responsible for STV's entrance into the Canadian marketplace with projects that include the preliminary engineering and project management of the $2.1 billion Ottawa Confederation Line, project management for the Toronto Transit Commission's multi-billion dollar light rail expansion and the new $200 million Eglinton Vehicle Maintenance Facility for Metrolinx.
