MARIN COUNTY, Calif. — A new report by the Marin County civil grand jury found that transportation services are not meeting the needs of Marin's elderly residents, Marin Independent Journal reported.

The panel said seniors are not aware of transit services or find them hard to navigate. It called for several improvements, ranging from more fixed route and shuttle bus, van and "catch-a-ride" programs, to more frequent service for seniors living on hillsides far from bus stops.
