FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Paratransit service in Solano County will now extend to those riders who need help entering and exiting a taxicab as part of Phase 2 of a county-wide project, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Phase I of the intercity paratransit services has been in place since 2010 and provides an alternate form of transportation between cities and/or the unincorporated area of the county, offering flexible routes and schedules to ambulatory riders, or those who don't need assistance getting in or out of the vehicle.
