SALT LAKE CITY — A University of Utah spokesperson told The Salt Lake Tribune that the university will begin running a prototype of an electric shuttle bus from campus housing to its main campus in the fall. Meanwhile, officials are planning an extension of the shuttle’s route. Construction on that project is set to begin in late 2014.
The university initially received funding for the electric shuttle from a $2.7 million federal grant in 2011. For the full story, click here.
