GIG HARBOR, Wash. — KING 5 News reported that Pierce Transit started a new trolley service while cutting 28% of its service due to budgetary restraints. The move is part of a “broader strategic direction,” a spokesperson told the news outlet.
The transit system is conducting a trial run of the trolley through September, and is getting funding support for the project from local business groups and the City of Gig Harbor. For the full story, click here.
