NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Rerouting the city’s proposed bus rapid transit line through North Nashville would reduce efficiency and could thwart attempts to get federal funding and ultimately derail the entire $175 million project, Metro Transit Authority’s CEO Paul Ballard said in a letter to state officials, according to The Tennessean.
Ballard’s letter comes in response to complaints that many African-American neighborhoods would be left out with the current route 7.1-mile route. For the full story, click here.
