GREENSBURG, Pa. — Trib Live reported that the Westmoreland County Transit Authority is still struggling to operate a countywide paratransit program it took over on July 1. Service difficulties have included phone glitches and extended wait times. Riders previously scheduled rides directly with taxi companies.
Transit officials told the paper that the takeover has entailed having to set up a new call center to accommodate the increased call volume for the service. For the full story, click here.
