Earlier this month, MV Transportation Inc. presented Russel Roan, paratransit operator with the Greenville, Ohio Transit System (GTS), with the Katherine McClary Award.

Roan, who has more than 17 years of experience at GTS, has maintained an impeccable safety and customer service record.

In addition to receiving the McClary Award, Roan was also selected as the Driver of the Quarter for the Greeneville division in 2011 and 2012, and as the GTS Driver of the Year in 2011 and 2012. Prior to joining MV, he served as a firefighter in Greenville for more than 25 years.

Established to honor the memory of Katie McClary, who was tragically killed in a bus accident in 2004, MV’s award recognizes the safest operators at the company. Award recipients are chosen from more than 15,000 MV operators.
