SPRINGFIELD, Ill — Working on buses from as early as 1984 in a variety of sizes, including vans, paratransit and large transit vehicles, The State Journal-Register wrote a feature on the success of the Springfield Mass Transit District’s maintenance crew.  

In addition to keeping SMTD’s fleet rolling, the crew also maintains contracts with 27 other agencies in the area. SMTD has recently received 14 new buses. For the full story, click here.
