San Jose, Calif.’s Royal Coach Tours is expanding its fleet by adding seven new MCI J4500 coaches to accommodate a high-profile Silicon Valley client.

The new coaches feature its client’s signature specifications, including a silver-painted exterior and high-end interior with black leather seating for 50 with three-point passenger seatbelts.

Riders will also enjoy power outlets at each seat and a private-client Wi-Fi network that enables productivity en route. An Ayses destination sign makes it easy for commuters to know they’re boarding the right coach.

Additionally, the new coaches are equipped with clean-diesel Detroit-Diesel engines and Allison transmissions to meet the environmental goals of both Royal Coach Tours and its client. The coaches also come with standard safety systems including electronic stability control, Smartire tire pressure monitoring and a fire suppression system.

MCI also recently delivered one new J4500 each to Bloomington, Minn.’s Richfield Bus and Ark.-based Little Rock Tours and Travel.

Little Rock Tours’ new vehicle comes all the standard bells and whistles, including flat-screen video monitors, tiered theatre seating and LED lighting, plus performance features including an optimized powertrain for better fuel economy.

Meanwhile, Richfield’s new J4500 offers premium wood-grain flooring, 110-volt outlets, and an Actia video system with 15-inch monitors, with Wi-Fi also being added.
