WASHINGTON, D.C. — With Election Day coming up Tuesday, StreetsBlog discussed six transportation ballot initiatives to watch in Fla., Ga., Calif., Mo. and Texas.

The initiatives include Pinellas County, Fla.’s “Greenlight Pinellas” plan, which would increase bus service by 65% and build a 24-mile light rail line from downtown St. Petersburg to downtown Clearwater.

Meanwhile in Austin Texas, a proposed bond measure would fund a 9.5-mile urban rail route to run past several university campuses. The city is also part of a statewide initiative to use Texas’ “rainy day fund” to pay for highway projects. For the full story, click here.
