NEW YORK — An investigation into a New York bus driver who was arrested after he smashed into a lamp post and knocked it down in busy Times Square this summer determined no charges will be filed because the driver was actually a hero, reported ABC News.

The investigation found that a mechanical failure caused the bus to lurch forward, at which time the driver was able to steer the bus away from a crowded sidewalk, thereby averting serious injury to those on the sidewalk. For the full story, click here.
