Lexington, Ky.’s Lextran GM Rocky Burke submitted his resignation, effective December 19.

Burke accepted a position as director of Sarasota County Area Transit in Sarasota, Fla. Lextran’s assistant GM, Jared Forte, resigned in October 2014 and is now acting assistant GM at Sun Tran in Tucson, Ariz.

The assistant GM and GM positions will be filled through a process in cooperation with Transdev, Lextran’s management company.

Burke began his tenure at Lextran as the GM in February 2008. Lextran remains an integral fixture in the Lexington community, transporting an average of six million riders a year on over twenty fixed routes within Lexington-Fayette County.
