An $846 million automated peoplemover (APM) is currently under construction at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Halliburton KBR is working to complete architectural and engineering design, design management, construction administration and quality assurance. The APM, a 4.81-mile dual-lane guideway, will be completed in 2005 and will move passengers in about nine minutes from one end of the airport to another. The APM replaces the existing 30-year-old airport train system that is at capacity.
