Rebuilding the lower Manhattan transportation network, damaged by the collapse of the World Trade Center towers, could cost an excess of $7 billion, The Associated Press reported. A tentative proposal for rebuilding and renovating the transportation network includes a new $2 billion PATH train terminal, a $750 million Fulton subway hub and $400 million to revamp the South Ferry subway station. A new bus terminal to handle tourism at a trade center memorial and more than $1 billion in additional security was also proposed.
