Shanghai, China, debuted its $1.2 billion commercial maglev train this week. The 19-mile system brings travelers between Shanghai's financial district and the Pudong Airport. A one-way ticket costs $6. The train is supposed to start carrying regular passengers sometime late next year, though a date has not been announced.
