Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) won the prestigious Rail Transit Achievement Award at the 13th Annual Rail Roadeo, held June 4 in conjunction with the American Public Transportation Association's Rail Transit Conference in Pittsburgh. SEPTA's winning operator-maintainer team included Gerald Holland, Adrian Mapp, James Pham, Jason Rickert and Charles Schoen. In the operators competition, first place went to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority's Bbupinder Bajwa and Gary Marquardt. Winner of the maintainers competition were Maryland Transit Authority's Frank Fritzinger, Brian heck and Elmer Nickens.
