New Jersey Transit (NJT) launched a new Web feature allowing users to access train status or schedule information through any Web-enabled mobile device. Customers can tap into the most popular areas of www.njtransit.com in a streamlined format optimized for mobile devices, such as Blackberry, Treo or Web-enabled cell phones. In addition, NJT added server capacity to the agency's "My Transit" alert system to provide faster delivery of delay information and the ability to accommodate more customers. With the alert system, NJT sends an alert directly to a customer's cell phone, pager or email whenever there is a delay affecting their designated itinerary.
