Bombardier Transportation announced completion for the design and installation of its driverless automated people mover (APM) for Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA).

The Bombardier CX-100 system will begin passenger service in March 2008, before the opening of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The company is also operating and maintaining the system.

The transit system will serve the new T3 terminal and is designed to carry 4,100 passengers per hour per direction.
