Veolia Transportation was officially awarded a five-year contract to operate bus service for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro).

Service in Metro’s north region is scheduled to begin August 3, 2008 and includes six routes serving the San Fernando Valley area of the City and County of Los Angeles.

Veolia is also developing a state-of-the-art bus maintenance facility in downtown Los Angeles, to help facilitate operations.
