Pittsburgh-based Union Switch & Signal has landed a $13.9 million contract with the Toronto Transit Commission.

Under the agreement, US&S will design, supply and install a signal system for 6.2 miles of track along the Yonge-University-Spadina Line, Toronto's oldest and busiest subway line.

US&S designs and manufactures systems that signal, automate and control rail-based traffic. Based in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of South Oakland, is owned by Italy-based Ansaldo STS.
