[IMAGE]MTA-Christopher-St-Station-full.jpg[/IMAGE]NEW YORK — The lack of video surveillance cameras in the Christopher Street subway station in Lower Manhattan has slowed down efforts of police investigating the fatal stabbing of two men during a subway brawl over the weekend, reported The New York Times. Of the 4,313 cameras that have been installed, more than 2,000 are not operable due to construction problems, according to New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials, which operates the subway system.
