CHICAGO — Metra's Executive Director Phil Pagano, who is currently under investigation by the agency for financial issues, allegedly threw himself in front of a Metra train this morning and was killed, according to sources in a Chicago Sun-Times report. Executive director of the commuter rail service since 1990, Pagano was put on paid administrative leave last week amid allegations that he paid himself an unauthorized $56,000 bonus.
