PITTSBURGH — Port Authority of Allegheny County officials said they have no choice but to cut service by 35 percent, starting March 13, because the local Legislature has not moved to fill its $47 million budget deficit, according the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Authority officials are dismayed at the lack of public outcry and warn that drivers will feel the impact of the cuts when there are 5,000 to 10,000 more vehicles on the road.
