Oregon using music to thwart rail station crime

PORTLAND, Ore. — A bill making its way through the Oregon Legislature would expand a program started in Portland, to discourage loitering and crime at light rail stations by playing classical music, to all light rail stops in Clackamas, Washington and Multnomah counties deemed high-crime areas by police or residents, the Washington Post National reported.
