Amtrak seeking money for track tampering tech

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Despite efforts to increase security since documents seized from Osama Bin Laden's compound revealed al-Qaida planned to derail trains in the U.S., Amtrak's CEO Joseph Boardman said the system needs more money to develop technology that can warn trains that tracks have been tampered with, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
