OTTAWA — City officials say doubling the length of the O-Train light rail line would cost about $76 million and bring many new transit users on board, according to the Ottawa Citizen.
Under the city's current plans, the O-Train line is to be converted from diesel technology to a double-track electric light-rail line and extended about 20 years from now. Transit financial plans do not contemplate funding for construction in the railway corridor until after 2031. For the full story, click here.
