Amtrak proposes $7 billion D.C. station renovation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Amtrak unveiled a $7 billion proposal that will transform Union Station into a high-speed rail hub for the Northeast, tripling capacity in the process, according to the Washington Post.

The plan calls for doubling the number of trains the station can accommodate and improving the passenger experience at what is the second-busiest Amtrak station in the country. For the full story, click here.
