Wis. to seek ADA waiver for train platform redesign

MILWAUKEE — State Department of Transportation (DOT) officials plan to seek a formal waiver of federal disability access standards for renovating downtown Milwaukee's passenger train concourse to avoid a costly redesign, according to a JSOnline.com report.

Federal rail officials have shown no signs of yielding. But Gov. Scott Walker's administration might be gambling on the possibility that fellow Republican Mitt Romney could be in the White House by the time the issue is decided, the paper reported. For the full story, click here.
