IBM to help with Ottawa light rail project

OTTAWA — The City of Ottawa was awarded for its light rail project the assistance of seven consultants whose work would have cost about $400,000 as part of winning IBM’s 2012 Smarter Cities Challenge, CBCnews.ca reported.

The consultants will interview 75 people who are working on the light rail project, and, after three weeks, offer advice on making the light rail stations actual hubs and not just train stops along the line. For the full story, click here.
