Bid deadline pushed back for Calif. high-speed project

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California High-Speed Rail Authority is pushing back this week’s deadline for bids to design and build the first stretch of high-speed rail line through the Fresno area, according to the Fresno Bee.

The authority’s CEO Jeffrey Morales said questions from five consortiums of building firms prompted the authority to set January 18 as the new date by which bids must be submitted for the 28-mile stretch. For the full story, click here.
