CHARLOTTE, N.C. — News 14 Carolina reported that Charlotte Area Transit System’s (CATS) LYNX light rail system is celebrating five years of service, and is planning an extension with an anticipated operation date of 2016.

The agency originally initially projected 9,100 people would ride the line every day. The line currently averages 15,500 riders daily. For the full story, click here.
