MARIN, Calif. — Several intersections in Marin will be closed in the new year to make way for construction on the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) commuter train, reports the Marin Independent Journal.

SMART will be replacing several railroad crossings in the area during January and February. The work includes replacing the existing old wood crossings with smooth concrete panels and new track where it crosses the roadway. To read the full story, click here.
