ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A recent poll found that 58% of respondents were supportive of spending public or tax money to bring light rail mass transit to parts of the Tampa Bay area, reported Bay News 9.

The poll comes at a time when use of public transit is on the rise. The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority has reported 13 straight months of record ridership and Hillsborough Area Regional Transit experienced its highest ridership ever in October. To read the full story, click here.
