MILWAUKIE, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Transportation is hosting open houses across the state this month to present draft proposals and collect public input while they study the feasibility of high-speed rail, according to OregonLive. On Wednesday, state transportation officials will brief Milwaukie residents on the possibilities of high-speed passenger rail between Portland and Eugene.

The study is in the initial phases. The final recommendation and environmental impact report won't be published until early 2015. For the full story, click here.
