ANN ARBOR, Mich. — During a series of meetings, representatives of The Ride, part of the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA), determined that an electric light rail system is the preferred choice for a transportation system in the area, reported the Ann Arbor Journal.

In February 2011, the AATA conducted a feasibility study and narrowed the options to a bus rapid transit system, light rail and an automated guideway transit. To read the full story, click here.
