BOSTON — Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) told WBUR that 18,372 riders used its new late-night subway service last weekend.
The service runs until about 3 a.m. on all four subway lines as well as 16 bus routes. For the full story, click here.
WBUR also previously reported that this is MBTA’s most recent attempt at offering late-night service; it ended its all-bus service, the Night Owl, in 2005 due to lack of ridership. However, the service has received significant support from the state and corporate sponsorships. For the full story, click here.
