IMPulse NC LLC attains APTA Gold recognition

Posted on April 28, 2015

IMPulse NC LLC, U.S. manufacturer of overhead contact system (catenary) hardware for the public transportation industry, achieved the Gold Level recognition under the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Sustainability Program.

IMPulse is one of only two business members within APTA to reach the Gold Level for sustainability through the dedicated efforts of its employees who make it their mission to reduce the carbon footprint of its business and operate in a manner that ensures future sustainability for the community. The extra efforts to move from Bronze Level to Gold Level over the last year and half included over 29 specific action items and 13 stretch goals, including social sustainability and innovative sustainable life-costing initiatives.

IMPulse will receive its official recognition during a luncheon ceremony as part of the APTA Sustainability Workshop in Portland, Ore., Aug. 2 to 4, 2015.

IMPulse, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway company, manufactures transit hardware for all types of electrified public transit systems including streetcar, light rail, intercity and commuter rail, heritage trolley and electric trolleybus with products in service worldwide.
