LONDON — If being crammed next to strangers on the tube wasn't awkward enough, sprigs of festive mistletoe appeared in London Underground railcars this week, the Daily Mail reported.
Commuters avoided making eye contact with fellow travellers after the yuletide decorations were hung up by a group in a bid to 'bring Christmas cheer to one of the most miserable places in the capital,' the report said.
The plant, typically used to prompt a Christmas kiss, has so far had mixed reactions from those who have found themselves under the plants, ranging from joy to mainly sullen confusion, the Daily Mail reported.
