WASHINGTON, D.C. — The New York Post reports that Amtrak is launching its first national magazine, “The National,” in an effort to cast itself as a more upscale travel brand.

The magazine, from Ink, a British travel magazine publisher, will emphasize beautiful travel photography and long-form journalism. It will replace “Arrive,” Amtrak’s current magazine, which is more focused on celebrities, what’s-on content and regional destinations such as New York, Boston and Washington, D.C.
