NEW ORLEANS — The Times-Picayune reports that two days after launching service, the new Rampart-St. Claude streetcar line experienced its first mishap when a streetcar derailed after it split the switch as it made the turn from Rampart to Canal.

There were no injuries from the minor incident, and the driver was the sole occupant during the incident. Preliminary results have shown no defects of the switch or the streetcar. For the full story, click here.
