MINNEAPOLIS — Citing safety concerns, Metro Transit officials are the latest transit agency in the U.S. to ban hoverboards on public buses, trains, rail platforms and transit facilities, WCCO reports.

The single-person, motorized transportation devices’ batteries are reported to randomly catch fire, or even explode. There is currently an investigation into those claims by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. For the full story, click here.
