SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Transit Authority bus passes have been free to Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) students but will cost $50 for the 2010-11 school year, the SLCC Globe reports. The Student Fee Board will subsidize the cost of 700 passes, bringing the cost to students down to $15. Students who sign up after the first 700 passes run out will have to pay the full $50.
