U. of Va. beefs up SafeRide program in wake of attacks

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The University of Virginia is beefing up security on campus after a attacks on students, The Daily Progress reported. The university's SafeRide program is adding three additional phone lines for the service and doubling the number of people answering phones. The University Transit System will begin a pilot program Thursday, Oct. 28, to extend late-night bus service to Thursdays through the end of this semester. To read the full story, click here.
