VANCOUVER, B.C. — Per a newly signed contract, the University of British Columbia is changing to a monthly U-Pass system, which will prevent students who have dropped out of courses from keeping their subsidized transit passes. This new effort will pass the financial risk to the university, which will have to pay the full value of passes for U-Passes that aren’t returned by dropout students, reported The Ubyssey.
