STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Newsday reported that Stony Brook University added daily, nonstop bus service to Manhattan, provided by 7Bus, a private, Bohemia-based transit company, formerly known as Bolt Bus Long Island.

The idea for the bus service came from a student panel on transportation. The university added the service after survey results showed that more than 70% of students were in favor of it.

Since the service is separate from existing university transportation services, only students who use it will pay for it. For the full story, click here.
