AUSTIN, Texas — Parking rates at the University of Texas are likely to increase over the next five years, according to the draft of a report by the Committee on Parking Strategies, reported The Daily Texan.

An increase in the cost of daily parking rates and faculty and student permits will be used to support the expenses of Parking and Transportation Services and the construction of new parking garages, according to the report.
