SEATTLE — King County Executive Dow Constantine and new Sound Transit CEO Peter Rogoff announced that its University Link light rail extension from Capitol Hill to the University of Washington (UW) is slated to open in March, offering an eight-minute ride from downtown to the UW campus, the Capitol Hill Times reports.

The University Link will open ahead of schedule and more than $150 million under budget. Finalizing the launch of U Link includes finishing staff training and acquiring safety certification from the FTA, according to the report. For the full story, click here.
