A United Parcel Service (UPS) official was the featured speaker at a large community gathering recently.  In his speech, he described how the UPS delivery fleet is computer programmed in a manner so that delivery trucks only make right-hand turns on their route as often as possible.

It turns out they are able to accomplish this more than 90 percent of the time.  Their reason behind this is that it has been proven to them that the practice is more efficient and conserves fuel.  Sounds like there might be an idea here for bus schedules.

Until next time,

Dan
