The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials unveiled an updated Transportation TV website, — offering viewers a new platform to access more than 100 original, high-quality videos on a myriad of subjects.

Transportation TV's mission is to tell America's transportation story by giving AASHTO and its member state transportation departments the ability to communicate directly with the public, the news media, and decision-makers on Capitol Hill and across the nation.

"Video is a powerful communication medium and Transportation TV helps AASHTO share transportation news is a very understandable way," said Lloyd Brown, AASHTO's director of communications. "AASHTO, as the voice of transportation, wants to reach audiences in ways that make sense for on-the-go transportation professionals. That's why we believe Transportation TV is such a valuable tool. In a matter of minutes you can get a week's worth of transportation news in an easy to use and informative way."

AASHTO also expanded its social media outreach, building a strong presence both on Twitter and Facebook. AASHTO's new iPhone app, which will be available through the Apple App Store in June, features direct links to Transportation TV and AASHTO's other news products.
